Motherland Medicine by Jocelyn Perez-Blanco
Connecting with one’s roots through traditional medicine can be a transformative and uplifting experience, as I discovered during a month-long visit to Costa Rica, my mother's homeland. Despite arriving with physical and mental health challenges, my mother's care and the use of local herbs for remedies provided profound healing, highlighting the importance of cultural heritage, natural remedies, and the nurturing presence of loved ones in the healing process.
